Let me present to you an analogy of what investing actually means.

Every night your mom takes a little part of the leftover curd and uses it to convert Milk to Curd overnight.

The very next morning the most expectant result you would expect to see is the milk getting converted to curd. That is an investment. Sometimes the milk might not turn up to curd at all. That is a bad investment. The bad investment leaves you starving for the rest of the day! If you still hold on for the bad time to pass and then reinvest in proper firms that's called self-confidence. If you sacrifice your spendings for a short while and use all the curd made for that day and use it to convert a greater amount of milk to curd, you turn rich! That is called Financial Intelligence.
